Mondo Ellipses Templates

A set of templates designed to give you a wide range of ellipses and circles at a size only dreamed of and now made real.

Wondering why they look to only have half of an ellipse? This came as a design solution to allow for a larger size and number of ellipse guides to be packed into the set. Each half of these templates is slightly more than half of the ellipse to help create a seamless connection when executing the second half.

Step 1 - Placing your template down on the page you will mark the center dot and then any of the side edges to save the placement and execute the first half of your ellipse. Remember which ellipse you've chosen.

Step 2 - Turn the template 180 degrees and align the center dot you marked and the side edges and execute the other half of the ellipse.

Step 3 - There are "bridges" that connect each ellipse template together to ensure they don't bend and shift during use. Depending on your preference, you can fill those in by hand or while the template is placed, shift the template the short distance so you have a curve that matches that small missing section. If you are using these tools for inking, attention to this will be required for seamless ellipse. 

You can use the horizontal or vertical edges to mark the center line through the center dot of your ellipse and using a ruler, draw the through line past your first ellipse to set up a second mondo ellipse. Anywhere along the center lines you can place a new center dot and REPEAT the process. ;)
